MAC Sushi Kiss is a warm orange satin finish lipstick. With my skintone I find this somewhat difficult to wear. In order to alter the color and make it a bit more wearable for me I first line and fill in my lips with MAC Spice Lip Pencil. In the swatch picture the first swatch on top is the Sushi Kiss Lipstick swatch, then the liner swatch and then what the colors look like when blended together. Today, I paired this with an eye look of MAC eyeshadows in Layin Low Paint Pot as a base with Amber Lights on my lids and Woodwinked in the crease. For a browbone highlight I used a limited edition gold shade called Nanogold. I used MAC Deep Damson as a transition shade. I don’t have a picture to show you the eye look but I think I have done this look before and worn it in at least one video (on Youtube). The last picture is of a coral rose in the flower bed in my yard. If this rose is any indication, I think it’s going to be a good year for the roses (and hopefully my butterfly bush as well because it attracts not only butterflies but hummingbirds). Thanks for reading my Blog!
Today’s Lip Combo is MAC Flat Out Fabulous and MAC Magenta Lip Pencil. Lucky for me, I didn’t have to look very far to find a match for MAC Flat Out Fabulous. I already owned MAC Magenta Lip Pencil and it ended up being a perfect pairing. Flat Out Fabulous is a beautiful cool fuchsia that I really enjoy. The finish is the Retro Matte. Some people find this a tad bit too dry for their tastes but for me I don’t find it uncomfortable and well worth it in order to get that matte finish that many of us are loving right now. I keep meaning to ask you all if you picked up any of the new colors of mattes that MAC released yesterday? Fortunately for us all these are permanent and not limited edition. I started this blog with Relentlessly Red, All Fired Up and Flat Out Fabulous because I have only recently gotten these three lipsticks and have been enjoying them so much (along with my MAC Rebel that was also featured) that I wanted to give them some love. When I first started my Youtube journey I was all about MAC and then I sort of pushed them aside and have rediscovered my love for the brand. OK enough jibberjabber let’s check out the photos.

I had all but given up finding a lipliner for MAC’s All Fired Up. I seem to be all about bright lips and neutral eyes these days and this lipstick fits the bill to a T. It’s a warm fuschia that is one of the newer Retro Matte finishes that came out about a year and a half ago. There are also some brand new colors that released today (6-4-15 in stores)! Anyway, it was NYX to the rescue once again with their Slim Lipliner in Plush Red. It was a match made in heaven.

I searched high and low to find the perfect liner for MAC Rebel and within the MAC brand itself, I just wasn’t satisfied with anything they had. So, I looked elsewhere and found one for only three dollars and change within the NYX Slim Lip Pencil range in the shade Bloom. NYX has got a fantastic selection of colors and this was indeed the one. The pencils themselves are very good quality and if you have never tried them they are well worth the money. I have had MAC Rebel Lipstick in my collection for some time but only recently have fallen in love with it. It’s a cool berry that I feel would look good on many people. It’s a satin finish but it has an almost luminous quality about it.

So here it is you guys, my very first Lip Combo and blog post. You might remember this combo from one of my recent videos. In any case these match perfectly. The lipstick is the retro matte finish so it is a little dry. This was my first experience with a Pro Longwear pencil and I have nothing bad to say about it. I had read that they were dry as well but that has not been my experience at all.
